About the journal
Aim
FiSHMED journal, Fishes in Mediterranean Environments, intends to open a forum to share information, discuss ideas and identify common patterns related to the ecology, biology and conservation of fish in aquatic environments in Mediterranean-climate regions.
Scope
FiSHMED is an electronic, fully open-access, peer reviewed scientific journal aimed at promoting communication and discussion among ichthyologists that work in Mediterranean-climate areas. The journal publishes manuscripts related to any aspect of fish biology, ecology, behaviour and conservation in Mediterranean-climate environments of the Mediterranean basin, California, Chile, South Africa and Australia. Works dealing with fish inhabiting environments marked by a strong seasonality (other than Mediterranean) may also be considered for publication. FiSHMED can also publish articles focused on organisms other than fishes (e.g. macroinvertebrates, bivalves, crayfishes or birds) if strongly put into the context of the biology of fishes from Mediterranean environments.
FiSHMED is an international scientific journal edited by
